It certainly feels like pond season is just around the corner!  If your pond temperature remains over 50 degrees even in the morning you can start adding cold water beneficial bacteria.  We already have people asking about fish and plants but with the fickle Colorado weather we won't be bringing those in until late April.  It's also wise to hold off on feeding your fish for a little longer, we've still got some cold days ahead.  In this month's newsletter we have an article about small ponds, a product update, an introduction of our newest employee and our seminar schedule for the coming year.

Happy Pondering,

The True Pump Team

Small Ponds Pack a Punch
If you're under the impression that a pond simply won't fit in your yard ... think again!  Ponds come in a variety of shapes and sizes and their versatility is what makes them such a great addition to your landscape.  You also can enjoy the music of the waterfalls and the birds and butterflies they attract.  Small ponds are an attractive option for a number of reasons!

Product Update
We've got some great new products we're excited to introduce for 2018, here's just a few of them.

Oase  biOrb aquariums help you bring the beauty of water indoors!     The biOrb makes keeping an aquarium easy, with or without fish.  You don't have to be an aquatics expert to have a beautif ul aquarium in your home.  Included is a unique air driven filtration system and remote controlled LED lighting.  To see the many di fferent models and styles available go to www.biorb.com .  MSRP starts at $158.99.

The Aquascape Faux Oak Stump Cover is the ideal solution to covering un sightly landscape components, including everything from power outlet posts to IonGen™ panels.  The Oak Stump Cover provides an extremely realistic oak appearance that looks great in any setting. The cover features durable, heavy-duty poly-resin construction, designed to stand up to the elements and provide year after year of enjoyment. Use the stump cover to conceal electrical outlets, power cords, transformers, Automatic Dosing Systems, pond supplies, and more. The Faux Oak Stump Cover can even be used as a seat or decorative garden accent.  MSRP is $129.98.

Keep your  fish safe with an Instapark Mechanical Timer!   No more  fish  kills due to l eaving the hose running overnight.  This timer automatically shuts off water  f low  after the pre-set ti m e, no batteries required.  It also f eatures a manual bypass setting     so you can use your hose without removing the timer and w orks with water pressure ranging from 15 to 120 PSI.  MSRP is $19.99.

Another new product we're carrying this year are Oase's pond maintenance tools.  The pond pliers and pond scissors make caring for aquatic plants a snap and you can do it all from outside the pon d.  MSRP is $49.00 for the pond pliers and $39.00 for the pond scissors.

New Employee
Please join us in welcoming our newest employee, Ross Boettcher.  Ross worked part-time in our warehouse for a couple of summers before attending Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat and focusing on Outdoor Studies.  While in Steamboat he also worked at the Steamboat Pilot newspaper and did landscape maintenance.  He returned to Denver and joined us as a salesman in January.  Ross's interests include live music and various outdoor activities.
