Gage, Hoang, Huang, Singh Receive Ed Payne Award; Pizarek ('19) Garners $2,500 Lions Club Scholarship
Wednesday afternoon's Lions Club Luncheon proved yet again that a Marquette education can more than pay for itself.

Five Blazers were recognized for their achievements in the classroom and community, including senior Ben Pizarek ('19), who was awarded the $2,500 Lions Club Memorial Scholarship.

Four freshmen earned the Ed Payne Award for their excellence in respective areas of study.

Ella Gage ('22) claimed top honors in English while Maria Hoang ('22) was rewarded in science. Hansen Huang was lauded for his work in social studies, and Devin Singh represented Marquette for excellence in mathematics.

Pizarek was then celebrated with the lucrative Lions Club Memorial Scholarship. The award is granted to a senior who demonstrates outstanding achievement and leadership in services to his/her school and community.

Pizarek, who holds the distinction of Eagle Scout, will graduate this June.
