Spring 2018 newsletter

The Spring 2018 newsletter is in the mail to Bloomfield Township residents. Resident only registration begins on February 2nd, non-resident registration begins on February 19th. In this newsletter you will find our popular fitness classes like cardio C ardio Conditioning 3C's, Zumba, Cardio Strength & Balance 1 & 2, Aqua Interval, Small Group Personal Training, and NEW fitness classes like Aqua Burn, Aqua Strong & Fit, Turf & Surf, HIIT Bursts, and Drums Alive Seated. There's still time to register for the Indoor Triathlon on February 23rd and join us on May 12th for our 5K Compassion Walk.

BTSS has several great presentations this spring; Understanding Senior Moments, Protecting Michigan's Natural Treasures, Unique Ships of the Great Lakes, Great Lakes Lighthouse Ghosts, Petticoat Patriots, health presentations and many more.

Check out our wide variety of daytrips and leave the driving to us. Enjoy trips to the DSO and Meadowbrook performances to unique venues, adventures in dining to museum tours, there's something for everyone. Go with a friend or meet a new one on the trip, BTSS day trips are a wonderful way to spend the day!

Challenge yourself in 2018! Join us for our  2nd Annual Indoor Triathlon on Friday, February 23rd. Cycle (Cycle/Nustep) -Run (Treadmill/Track/Wheelchair) -Swim (Swim/Walk/water rower) 15 minutes each.  All levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. Sponsored by Oakmont Rochester, Samaritas Senior Living and Neil King Physical Therapy.

Andy Warhol Exhibit -

Andy Warhol is considered one of the most important figures in postwar art.  He brought the imagery and techniques of mass commercialism into fine arts and broke up the stylistic hegemony of abstract expressionist painting in the 1960s. Begin with lunch on your own at State Room.

Support BTSS

The Senior Service Millage is one half of one percent of a BT Tax Dollar and provides only 50% of the BTSS budget. We must generate approximately $750,000 annually to maintain our current level of services.
 
You can help support BTSS in offering services like Meals on Wheels, our Adult Day Service the Friendship Club and medical transportation.
