OUR MISSION:
St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
FROM THE DESK OF MRS. TIEZZI
Dear SRS Parents,

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I share with you that Ronald DelVecchio, husband of Mrs. Kim DelVecchio, our third grade teacher died in his sleep last evening. We have not shared the news with students at this time and hope that you will have the opportunity to do so before tomorrow. Once arrangements are made for Mr. DelVecchio’s wake and the funeral, we will share the information with the school community. Please keep Mrs. DelVecchio and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

It has been brought to my attention that many students in the younger grade levels are bringing cell phones to school. Please note that our school policy is that all cell phones are to be turned in to the classroom teacher at the beginning of the school day and will be returned to them at dismissal. Failure to do so will result in the device being confiscated and a parent will need to retrieve and sign for it in the school office.

As I mentioned in one of my previous messages  Monday, April 2 (Easter Monday) will be a full day of school to make up for one of the nine snow days we have taken thus far this school year. We will also have a full-day of school on Holy Thursday (March 29) and on Friday, May 25 to make-up another day. The seven additional snow days and any additional days will be tacked onto the end of the school year.

Finally, the re-registration packet for the 2018-2019 school year was sent home last week. We ask that you return the completed agreement and $150 per student non-refundable deposit to the school office by Friday, April 13, 2018. Information regarding the Smart Tuition Program and Smart Aid (tuition assistance) must be completed/updated on-line. Please call or email Mrs. Paula Nugent, school business manager with any questions regarding your tuition account.

Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Happy Spring!

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi

The Great Gathering Auction

With the Great Gathering Auction a little over a month away, the auction committee is asking for your help!    Back in January, we had suggested a monetary donation of $20 per student and were hoping for 100% participation from each student. To date, we have received donations from 33% of the student body. The monetary donations are needed in order to purchase the fabulous items for the silent auction raffles. All proceeds from the auction will benefit St. Rita School. Please consider supporting this great cause. To donate, please access the link below. You donations will be charged through SMART TUITION

THANK YOU to those families that have already generously donated to the Great Gathering Auction. We have a fabulous night planned and hope to see you there!
