Westland Click and Fix, a free citizen reporting tool, will be getting a major upgrade on March 27. The app allows the residents of Westland to communicate directly with City Hall to report quality of life issues like potholes, graffiti, illegal dumping, blight, and much more.
With
Westland Click and Fix, Westland citizens have been able to easily report issues on the go, receive real time updates on the city's progress on fixing them, and connect to the city's social media platform. With the upgrades brought to the app, reporting issues will be even faster and easier for Westland citizens.
The new version of the
Westland Click and Fix will include a fresh new design, smarter architecture, and several new critical features. Highlights of the new version include quick navigation, a new reporting flow, issue mapping and list, better on-boarding, a new place tab, and more sharing.
These updates hope to engage more citizens as well as make the communication between the city's citizens and City Hall easier and more efficient and transparent. The City of Westland is committed to open government and hopes to add additional value to that through the use of this app.
Highlights of the new SeeClickFix iOS app include:

- Easily accessible navigation so you can always find Report, Issues, Place, and your Profile quickly and efficiently at the bottom of your screen

- Duplication issue detection with ability to heart, comment, cancel as well as simply continue with your report
- Issue Map and List
- Faster, more responsive map of issues with more data
- Endless list view with quick access to take actions on issues you care about
- Better Onboarding
- Engaging, informative onboarding animations and messaging that give you better understanding and context for primary app content and functionality
- New Place Tab
- A redesigned organization page with background image and beautiful new mobile buttons
- Ability to view and explore the services of multiple organizations serving the same geographic area (such as a city and county)
- More Sharing
- Strategic prompts with issue actions that encourage more sharing and more involvement from more citizens and customers using Facebook and other networking platforms
- Prompt to share after selecting to watch an issue
- Prompt to share alongside success messaging after you report an issue
"We live in a 24/7 world and residents want the ability to stay connected at all times with City Hall," commented Mayor Wild. "This free app has been very well received and a lot of the updates came from suggestions from our users."
Westland Click and Fix is available free of charge on both the Apple App and Google Play stores. Residents can expect to see the updates go into effect on March 27.
