TOWN NEWS

Message from Town Administrator
Gary Ezovski

A follow up note is in order for last week's post on making tax payments by on line bill pay through your bank.  I explained how that is an option for convenience and to avoid the charge we must impose for paying by credit card.  Several readers noted that using a bank's online bill pay system requires being aware of the bank processing time.  They are correct.  In my experience with two different banks, the first payment might require a week for delivery with shorter timelines thereafter, so attention to that detail is important.  Also, readers warned that banks will not pay penalties that might apply if a payment is received after a deadline, so attention to detail in ordering payments is important.  So, as with any process, there are details that must be managed, but once established these systems can be quite easy to work with.

Please note that Tuesday's Town Council meeting will be focused on the school department's Phase II application to the Department of Education for expansion of NSES and upgrades at the high school.  Attendance is encouraged for this important discussion about our school facilities.  As noted below, the meeting starts at 6:30 in the middle school cafeteria.
