As we approach Super Bowl weekend, I know a majority of our community members, staff and students are hoping for an Eagles win. I know I am. It has been a fun couple of weeks leading up to the big day for NPSD as we held pep rallies and other fun events to support the Philadelphia Eagles.
Looking past Sunday, next week's North Penn School District (NPSD) Board of School Directors Work Session Meeting is primed to be an important meeting of the school board. The purpose of this meeting is for board members and administration to discuss and give input on the district's strategic priorities and planning. The work session will be held Tuesday, February 6, at 7:30 pm at the NPSD Educational Services Center, 401 East Hancock Street, Lansdale.
It is important that we have a work session that is focused on developing a consensus on important matters that need to be addressed in NPSD. Though no formal action will be taken at this meeting regarding these issues, the board and administration will identify the areas that need to considered over the next several months. Topics that could be discussed include full-day kindergarten, class size, building renovations, school boundaries, grounds and fields improvements and much more.
This work session is a great opportunity for the board, district staff and community members to work together for the benefit of the entire school district. Prioritizing our needs, looking at the related issues to these needs and considering the time it takes to implement some of the ideas is of critical importance as we prepare for the years ahead.
There will also be special action that night for adoption of the preliminary budget.
I hope you will join us. And Fly Eagles Fly!
Sincerely,
Curtis R. Dietrich, Ed.D.
