Please Pray for

Our Dominicans

St. Dominic,
Pray for Us
If you have a prayer request, please email [email protected].
Dear School Families,

When the teachers and staff learned the sign language for the Annual Catholic Schools Week video presentation, it solidified my belief that everyone and everything that is Holy Rosary is part of a tradition. Tradition is a powerful anchor that our children are receiving.  I truly hope you had time to walk the hallways and read all the wonderful reflections on "If you give a kid a Catholic education ..." and all the amazing good work that is happening in the classrooms.
Holy Rosary School has a responsibility to support you to practice and live your faith with your children.  Our administrators, teachers, and staff share in the responsibility to educate the heart and the mind of your student through high academic expectations in a faith-filled environment.  These expectations will support your student to become a good citizen who can continue the mission of our church.
I am inspired by this community that share in my Catholic faith.  There is a special quality about Catholic schools that I love and I desired to share with my own children.  It is our family tradition and I trust it is the same with you and your families.
Tomorrow we are hosting our annual CSW Family Day starting at 11:30 a.m..  This has been a tradition for as long as I have been here (28+ years).  Of course, my first time I was not prepared.  There were unusually long lines at the fast food restaurants and no parking to be found.  And nobody told me I should have brought picnic blankets or chairs.  My kids have fond memories of eating forbidden foods from fast food restaurants and soda, but mostly just hanging out at the book fair and being with their friends and families.  It is a great day.  Students may wear their peacebuilder T-shirts and free dress jeans.  I hope you hang out for lunch with your kids and create your own family traditions.  I encourage you to help out our working parents and adopt a student for the afternoon.  It is the best gift of time you can share with our families. I pray that "we can extend a hand of true friendship to all who walk through our doors each and every day".
I invite you to join us for mass at 8:00 a.m.
In Partnership,

Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal

 Classroom News
Second graders are learning about  -tion in their Superkids Reader.  They leared about why authors choose the words they do and they reviewed homonyms.  In GoMath, the second graders are regrouping subtraction problems, and model and record 2-digit subtraction problems.

First graders are working with tens and ones to 100, showing numbers in different ways, and reading and writing numbers from 100 to 110.  In religion, they are reading about Moses and his life in the Old Testament.

  Parents & Our Catholic Identity

Catholic education has allowed the children to grow academically as well as spiritually, and my wife and I have been blessed to share in their journey through faith. I have always believed that the best way to strengthen ones knowledge is to share it with someone else, and the daily participation in the children's spiritual growth has allowed my wife and I to gain a deeper understanding of God. Sharing in their teaching has reinforced and strengthened our faith as well. (the duPont Family) To read more about the duPont Family testimonial -Catholic Identity
