This week's adventures...
We have had an incredible Catholic Schools Week! The enthusiasm in our school building has been absolutely contagious. Clearly, the shortened week did not dampen our spirits one bit!

While the week contained many highlights, by far Wednesday was the absolute pinnacle! After our unexpected "day off" on Tuesday, we returned to not only complete our St. Francis Fun Run, but also to take part in our Summer Camp Centers, as well as our Brick Pizza Fundraiser! I cannot even begin to express our gratitude for the tremendous response we received from the Boosterthon Fun Run, which was new addition to the school family's fundraising. Your positive response resulted in numerous pledges made and various prizes earned by many of our students. As final calculations are currently being determined, with confidence I can share, that through the generosity of your friends and family,, we were able to raise close to $20,000 for our school! This is such an incredible joining of forces that demonstrates the importance of our school and the value that it provides to our families! Thank you, thank you! This FUN-draising day was "topped off" by our visit to Brick in Fairhaven for some pizza! Brick sold nearly 150 pizzas Wednesday evening, resulting in close to $300 for our school! I am continuously amazed by your generosity and support! We are so blessed!

Other notable highlights from our week include fun field trips, assemblies, and dress down days. We also demonstrated our desire to serve others as we collected canned goods for our St. Vincent dePaul food pantry and gathered various items for our military forces. Today students in Grades 3-8 attended Holy Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord... a perfect way to end the week! In addition, our preschool teachers and students orchestrated our "finale assembly" honoring our military, both past and present. The assembly was absolutely fantastic and our guests and honorees agreed!

A huge thank you to all of our teachers and parent volunteers who made this week of celebrating our wonderful and unique Catholic school such a memorable experience!
God bless and have a wonderful weekend!

Fly on the Wall...heard from the hall!
Our Boosterthon Fun Run certainly motivated students, with the daily dose of prizes delivered to classrooms. One particular kindergartner was concerned that he was not receiving the prizes he was worthy of, and the following conversation was heard.
Student: "Mrs. Russo, how come you didn't come to our classroom today to deliver prizes?"
Mrs. Russo: "Well, (insert child's name here), there weren't any prizes earned by your class mates today."
Student: "Really?? My parents told me they sent a blessing to me for the Fun Run."
