Tax Season Begins!

The IRS began accepting the first of an estimated 155 million individual tax returns on January 29 for this year's tax filing season. And we are off and running! Here are some important deadlines:

January 31 - Forms W-2, W-3 and 1099-Misc due to recipients and IRS

February 1 - LLC's, Partnerships, and S-corporations should have your tax information submitted to us for filing by the March deadline

March 1 - Individuals, Trusts, and December year-end C-Corporations should have your tax information submitted to us for filing by the April deadline

Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017

The President signed the TCJA on December 22, 2017, the most significant tax reform in 31 years. There will be both good and bad news for taxpayers in this mammoth bill, which will mostly affect tax returns being filed next year. Keep in mind that tax planning with your Tax Manager will be very important in order to take into account all the new changes!
