Cumberland harmonises Clean Up Services
Cumberland Council is harmonising its Clean Up Services, enabling all residents to access up to four pre-booked collections per year.
The move brings service provision in the former Holroyd area, where residents had access to two scheduled Clean Up Services every 12 months, into alignment with those in the former Auburn and Parramatta areas.
The size of the collections has also been increased from one cubic metre to two across Cumberland. Materials should be placed neatly on the kerbside in front of your property, no earlier than the night before your allocated collection day.
You can book anytime by simply visiting cumberland.nsw.gov.au or calling 8757 9000. For multi lingual support, please contact the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450 and ask to be connected to Cumberland Council on (02) 8757 9000.
We're excited to announce new dates for Flavours of Auburn cooking classes and food walking tours.
Cooking classes are run by a group of local cooks, who share recipes and ingredients from their culture with a cosy class of ten participants. Iranian and Pakistani, Egyptian and Sudanese, Sri Lankan and Mongolian, Ethiopian or Afghani cooking classes are available.
Walking food tours are a unique opportunity to learn about the rich cultures of Auburn while sampling some of the most delicious food in Sydney with a local tour guide. A taste of Korean, Turkish and Middle Eastern cultures and cuisines is on the menu.
We are developing a new Waste Management and Resource Recovery Strategy 2018 - 2022 and want to provide the opportunity for you to have a say so we can learn more about:
What is important to you regarding waste disposal and resource recovery
How well existing services are meeting your needs
What you think about potential household waste service changes.
Construction has started on Merrylands Commuter Car Park, which will be closed for 10 months from 22 January 2018 while additional levels are constructed. Find out more about this Transport for NSW project
