Book Lovers - We Need Volunteers. We are busy preparing for a used book sale in April that will benefit the Somers Library, but we need your help to make it a success. If you have an interest or expertise in any genre such as children's and young adult fiction, mystery, thriller or other genres, we would appreciate your help. We also need volunteers to sort and alphabetize books. All volunteers are welcome, including students who want to earn community service hours. No heavy lifting is required. For more information, please email or call us at (914) 361-9979.

Save the Date! The long awaited used book sale is scheduled from April 20 - 23, 2018; all proceeds will support the Library. Look for updates about the sale on the Library Foundation's Facebook page or on our website .

Become an integral part of our Library's future by making a charitable donation today. Your gift will help fund projects that beautify, modernize and enrich the Library's capabilities. To learn more about the Library Foundation, visit our website and our Facebook , or call us at (914) 361-9979.

Friends of Somers Library

Friends make all the difference!

The Friends provide support to enhance, preserve, and strengthen the library as it serves individuals, families and the community throughout the year, and each year we are tasked with raising sufficient funds to provide meaningful programs for children, teens and adults.   Your generosity so far in response to our 2018 Annual Appeal has been truly outstanding.  If you haven't yet made a contribution, our appeal continues into the new year.   If you don't have our current brochure, you can pick one up at the library, or donate using your PayPal account to [email protected].  Thank you!

The Friends of the Somers Library were chartered in 1979 by the Regents of the University of the State of New York.
