Many congregations hold their Annual Church Meetings this time of year. A part of most churches' annual meeting is preparing the Church Annual Report.
These reports meet the annual reporting requirement for the ABCUSA Criteria of Cooperating Churches. By sending these reports to our office by mail, in person, or by email, you can save yourselves the task of filling out yet another report.
Health Ministry at Genesee Baptist
Rev. Vera Miller
We speak a lot about health and prevention at Genesee Baptist Church. Our health ministry is led by Dr. Debbie Stamps, and consists of nurses and other health practitioners in our church. The pastor herself actively supports this ministry, and routinely emphasizes ways to protect ourselves from getting sick (and getting others sick) by speaking about the importance of hand-washing and sneezing into your elbow.
This Sunday, she received her flu shot in front of the entire church during the Children's Moment, with the help of one of our nurses, Memunatu Sheriff. They were mesmerized as they saw her brave the immunization. They saw her faith in action, and her love for them demonstrated by this simple act!
On Feb. 2, the domestic personnel of International Ministries will be making a half-mile move to a new office space. We will be open for ministry business on Feb. 5. Please make note of our new contact information to take effect on Feb. 5.
