Print Form 1095-C from Employee Access
On December 22, 2017, the IRS announced that the due date for health coverage information forms, Forms 1095-B or 1095-C, has been extended for 2018. Insurers, self-insuring employers, other coverage providers and applicable large employers will now have until March 2, 2018, to provide the forms to employees. The original date was January 31, 2018.
Forms 1095-B and 1095-C are provided to employees and covered individuals outlining the health care coverage that was offered to them.
Individuals receiving the forms are not required to file the 1095-B or 1095-C with their tax return. The form is for informational purposes and individuals may use the information provided on the form to determine if they may claim the premium tax credit on their individual income tax returns based on whether they had coverage in each month in 2017.
