Youth Mentoring Orientations
Make a difference in the life of a Merrimack County young person and be a mentor. The first step is attending an orientation that will introduce you to our program and outline what's involved.
Upcoming orientation:
Thursday, February 22nd
Tuesday, March 13th
Orientations are from 4:30-7pm at the Friends Program office, 202 North State Street, Concord.
Step up and step in to help a needy child.

If yes, we are looking for volunteers to serve on the RSVP Advisory Committee, which provides input and advise to staff and Board of Trustee members on the RSVP Program.

Friends Program Celebrates Mentors
January was National Mentoring Month and the Friends Youth Mentoring Program celebrated efforts aimed at providing quality 1:1 mentoring opportunities that connect area young people with caring adults.

Connecting with Friends Means Taking Action
February is the month of love and friendship. One important way that the Friends Program stays connected to you is through this newsletter.
Another way is through our Facebook page. Facebook made some changes recently that make it harder for nonprofits like us to stay connected with you there, unless you choose to see our posts first or interact with those posts.
Please visit us on Facebook
and right click on the "Following" icon. Click, "See first" in your news feed.
Our plan is to focus on more interactive content on Facebook too. Please like and share our posts to help others find the Friends Program. You never know when someone needs our help or when someone can help the children, families and seniors we serve. You could be the connection between someone in need and someone ready to volunteer!

Emergency Housing Holiday Thank you

Board of Trustees Welcomes Back
Kim Yarlott
The Friends Program is pleased to announce that Kim Yarlott has returned to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Kim is the Principal of Reeds Ferry Elementary School, Merrimack, NH and began her teaching careen in Concord, NH. She was named the 2017 NH Principal of the Year and is recognized as a National Distinguished Principal.

Caregiver Volunteers Needed
With the winter weather here to stay, the
RSVP Caregivers Program is looking for volunteers to provide rides to those in need. Volunteers provides door-through-door transportation for medical appointments and basic needs.
Rides are free of charge to participants, who are 60+ yr old and provide much needed help to get out and about in these snowy conditions.
