FEBRUARY EVENTS
VETERANS BEWARE: The official VA Choice Program telephone line is 1 -866-606-8198. There is a very similar telephone number (1-800-606-8198; THIS IS NOT A VA NUMBER) being used by scammers attempting to gain credit card information from Veterans. VA will never ask for your credit card information as any type of incentive.

SCAM ALERT: Police Departments in the Central Texas area are warning residents, especially the elderly and Veterans, about fraud scams. The Police believe those receiving benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs are being targeted. Veterans or others in receipt of VA benefits should know that VA will never call you to get your personal, credit or bank information. If you believe you have been a victim, please contact your local police department to report the incident, whether or not those responsible were successful or not in stealing money. https://www.centraltexas.va.gov/
