April 26-27, 2018 | Disneyland Resort

Love, love, love this! This is so true. When women work together we can "Rock the World!" That is why I hope you will join us next month at our 2018 Women's Conference in Anaheim. The goal of the conference is for folks to leave inspired, energized and ready to take on new leadership challenges in their personal and professional lives. This is a different kind of conference - we are limiting the number of attendees so that you can really engage in all of the sessions. This is not a conference to just sit and listen - this is a conference to ask, to act and to take action. We also have a few surprises up our sleeves that will blow you away!

We have an amazing panel for our morning general session on Friday and I am thrilled that Alexis Podesta is speaking with her fellow women cabinet secretaries on the Women Leading in Government panel. She oversees a large agency, The California Business, Consumer Services and Housing. It is a big job, especially since California is the 5th largest economy in the world. I know you will be inspired by her personal leadership journey.

We have a great breakout session - Power Public Speaking for Women, led by the amazing Kassy Perry, CEO of Perry Communications, Inc. Public speaking is one of the top fears for people and Kassy will give you practical tips on how to overcome that fear and get your message across. You will leave the session ready to take on your next public speaking opportunity!

Please take a moment and visit our conference website. Here, you can find bios of all of our amazing speakers and presenters, read about the breakout sessions and get information on how you can attend these inspirational two days!

Table sponsorships are filling up and we are getting close to capacity. Individual tickets are going quickly and we have a hard cap on how many can attend. The discounted room rates at the Disneyland Hotel close at the end of the month! I hope you will secure your spot at the conference today.
Trust me - you will not want to miss all the surprises we have in store for our guests!

If you have any issues or questions about the conference, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] or via phone at 916-551-1920.

See you in Anaheim!
Rachel

SESSION HIGHLIGHT:
POWER PUBLIC SPEAKING FOR WOMEN

Whether we're talking in a team meeting, in front of an audience, or leading a volunteer group we all have to speak in public from time to time. Public speaking can cause so much anxiety and concern for many people. The good news is that with preparation and practice, you can overcome your nervousness and perform exceptionally well. Even if you don't need to make regular presentations, there are plenty of situations where good public speaking skills can help you advance your initiatives - personally, professionally and politically.

We use our speaking skills in all aspects of our life - talking about your organization at a conference, making a speech after accepting an award or speaking up at a community meeting. Solid public speaking skills are essential in our personal lives too.  Being a good public speaker can enhance your reputation, boost your self-confidence and open up countless opportunities.
Speaker:
Kassy Perry
President & CEO, Perry Communications Group

Kassy has been at the forefront of major initiatives undertaken by the healthcare, energy, environmental and public health communities for more than 20 years.

Perry is a former television and  radio news reporter, producer and anchor. Following her work as a broadcast journalist, she served as a spokeswoman for Governor George Deukmejian, as well as a committee consultant and press secretary to a California State Assembly Member. She capped her career in the public sector as Deputy Communications Director to Governor Pete Wilson. She has been recognized by former Senate President pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg as being instrumental in the passage of Proposition 63, California's 2006 Ballot initiative tax, which provides funding for mental health services.

Recognized by the Sacramento Public Relations Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award and more than 50 industry awards for her work, Perry has been named to Capitol Weekly's Top 100 "Most Powerful Political Players in California" list five times in the past seven years. Perry has also received Recognition from the California State Senate and Assembly for her work.

She also serves on the board of Jack Russell Rescue of California, an all-volunteer rescue placing at risk Russell Terriers in foster and forever homes.
