There is a way everyone can help big and small!

Signup sheets will be posted on the big bulletin board outside the church offices, outside the sanctuary or click  here to sign up online.

Come join us March 31st starting at 9:00 a.m. for a Easter memorial service in the memory garden followed at 10:00 a.m. by the Blessing of the Animals, an Easter Egg Hunt, and finally followed up with some light refreshments.

Youth Happenings!

In February, we learned about the importance of food in scripture and its impact on our spiritual and physical health. We also spent one evening working with New Communion to organize their shelves with a new batch of canned foods.

Our March theme will be Discipleship! Each week we will look at the story of one of the disciples and discuss how their successes (and shortcomings) can help us navigate our own call to discipleship in 2018.

I would also love for there to be more avenues of connection between the youth and the rest of FCC. One possibility for this is the implementation of Prayer Partners.

Any individual or family in the church willing to participate would "partner up" with a youth. Throughout the year, you can keep up to date with the student's prayer requests, and, in turn, they can pray for you and your family. If this is something that you would be interested in, or if you have questions/concerns about the idea, please email me at
mundkm12@wfu.edu .

New Communion

In February we resumed our regular weekly distribution schedule, so check the bulletin board outside Taylor Hall for more information and ways to help.

This month we are starting to collect for Easter. Click the link  below in blue to see all of the Easter wants.

 Easter Wish List

Instead of the usual peanut butter and jelly we would love for you to consider sponsoring families. We will be doing   feast-meal boxes again and the boxes serve 10-12 and are $32.00 each box.

Plans for an Easter event are in the works, so please be on the lookout for more information.

Sunday Morning Doughnuts

Several different groups around the church have recommended that we give up Sunday morning doughnuts for Lent.  There will still be coffee for fellowship time, and members and classes are still invited to share other treats, but please no doughnuts.

Shout Out!
Nine of the ladies of the PINC Fellowship Group met on Thursday, February 15th for dinner and fellowship.  All contributed generously to donations for Senior Services and Samaritan Ministries.  Both services are always grateful for any assistance we can give to their work.  Thank you, girls!

Crisis Control Ministry
Crisis Control Ministry is requesting INSTANT POTATOES for the month of March.  This is a good staple and can be used in just about every meal.
One thing you m ight not realize is that with every item you bring to share, Crisis Control doesn't have to spend as much money to purchase food.  They can use their funds to help a person pay his rent, keep the electricity on in his house, purchase heating oil to keep warm, and even pay for expensive medications.  Their request is simple.  The need is great.  First Christian Church always responds.  Thank you!

Samaritan Ministries

The shelter has a year-round list of needs that are always appreciated. They especially have shortages of men's deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and socks.  Food items are canned meats and #10 size canned fruits, vegetables and applesauce. Please place your items next to the white bin in the foyer outside the office or in the church office.
