Gracious Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ came down from heaven to be the true bread which gives life to the world: Evermore give us this bread, that he may live in us, and we in him; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Almighty God, whose prophets taught us righteousness in the care of your poor: By the guidance of your Holy Spirit, grant that we may do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly in your sight; through Jesus Christ, our Judge and Redeemer, who lives and reigns with you and the same Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
God, our Creator, we are held in your everlasting arms,

"If we are to think of scripture not so much as we would a book of history, theology, or philosophy, but as the human experience of the divine at the thin places of encounter, then perhaps we may enter into a book that is perhaps less elusive and more accessible than we might have at first been led to believe. ADULT CONFIRMATION & RECEPTION CLASS BEGINS MARCH 10
We will be offering a 3-session class for those wanting to prepare for confirmation or reception in June, or just interested in deepening their knowledge of the Episcopal Church and learning more about their own faith journey. The first session is on Saturday, March 10 from 10am to noon, and we'll meet in Bradley Chapel.

LENTEN STUDY SERIES: Being Disciples
Continues Wednesdays, March 14 and 21
6:30 to 8:00pm in Memorial Hall
We'll gather for a simple supper of soup, salad, and bread, followed by a program and discussion based on the book
Being Disciples
, by Rowan Williams, led by different members of the commission.
A limited number copies of the book are available in the church office ($5; 1 per family).
You do not need to have read the book -- or to attend previous session to benefit from the discussion and fellowship.

DIOCESAN ANTIRACISM TRAINING TO TAKE PLACE AT GRACE
Anti-Racism Training Workshop
April 14, 2018
and April 21, 2018
Note that this workshop takes place on two Saturdays, and not on consecutive days.

The purpose of the Diocesan antiracism workshops is to help us become aware of how the sin of racism impacts all of our lives, and how we all unconsciously and consciously participate in racist systems. It is required for clergy in our diocese and highly recommended for lay leadership.
Dialog is the foundation of the two-day workshop (9:00 -4:00). We use group exercises and examine scientific and historical evidence concerning the origins of the concept of race and its legacy. Coffee and lunch are served and there is no cost to register and attend for members of our diocese. There is a $25.00 registration fee for members of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark and a $50.00 fee for all others.
Of the hundreds of workshop participants, more than 85% have found the workshop to be "very useful" or "extremely useful" in their work and daily lives.
