The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is conducting a study to examine clinical workflows and data collection methods, understand the challenges clinicians face reporting quality data, and to make future recommendations
to enhance clinical care.

Clinicians who participate successfully  in the study will receive full credit for the 2018 MIPS Improvement Activities performance category.
Applications will be accepted through March 23, 2018.
Hospital-Specific Reports or HSRs provide hospitals with detailed information on measure performance, including important information on which patients are included in their measures. These reports can be helpful in efforts to improve care at hospitals.

It is important for hospitals to be able to navigate and understand each field of the HSR. A tutorial video has been developed to help explain the measures, track outcomes, and further quality improvement efforts.

Tell CMS About Your MIPS Reporting Experience
CMS is seeking MIPS eligible clinicians who are interested in volunteering to participate in a study on the amount of time needed to submit their 2017 MIPS performance data to the Quality Payment Program. The goal is to use clinician feedback to improve the data submission experience and identify ways to reduce paperwork burdens. Candidates will document their experience and time spent on qpp.cms.gov via an online diary.

Interested candidates should email  [email protected] by March 14, 2018 at 5 p.m.

It's Not Too Late to Vaccinate!
CDC reported that as of February 24, influenza activity decreased in the U.S., although it is still widespread. The proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was 5.0 percent, which is above the national baseline of 2.2 percent.

Influenza vaccination is recommended for everyone six months of age and older. If you don't provide flu vaccines in your clinic, please recommend it to your patients and refer them to a clinic or pharmacy where they can get it .
