The Vestry has approved the renovation project for the undercroft with a start date of March 5. The first phase, as always, is the demolition process which is anticipated to take about 3 weeks. The entire project will likely last through the summer. The result at the end of the work will be reclaimed ground level space for our choir; altar and flower guilds; and church and community group meetings. The goal is to have attractive, clean,  comfortable, useful space that retains the key architectural features that are historically significant. We will be sharing our limited parking space, once again, with our contractor crew from Phoenix Construction (Pat Hennis, owner). You should know that this is a Lexington-based company. As in our previous project, Pat's crew will need space to bring in trucks, trailers, and materials with the primary staging area to be along the East wall of the church building. We have asked the City for permission to park along the  Washington Street curb in front of the church during the project. The  Capital Campaign and the Property Committee volunteers are your contacts should you have questions, suggestions, or concerns during this effort. We are all looking to the future as we navigate through the present with God's guidance and our communal patience.  A big 'thank you' also goes out to John Dickerson, Gordon Woodcock,  Steve Shultis, the Altar Guild, the Flower Guild , Sharon Massie and  James Keane for their help relocating and making temporary spaces for 

Easter Lilies

Help make our Easter celebration beautiful with lilies for the chancel. The cost of a Memorial Lily is $10. To list a memorial in the bulletin,  use one of the sign-up sheets located in the Narthex and on the Bridge,  or contact the Parish Office by phone 463-4981 or email Lisa at [email protected]  by Monday, March 26.  Please make your check payable to: Grace Episcopal Church with "Easter Lily" on the memo line. You may also buy a lily locally and donate it.
