The Backstory:
When our friend Kim Hunter decided to open her Korean-inspired restaurant Kimbap (Kimbap is the name for Korean rolls that resemble sushi), she wanted an Asian-inspired coffee worthy of her awesome, locally-sourced menu.  We delivered on that desire with one of the best new Indonesian blends we've done in years.  Try Kim's coffee in her awesome space in Seaboard Station, Raleigh!

Cupping Notes:
Big body, syrupy, earth, twist of lemon in the finish.

Happy Thursday!

Our Colombian coffee is back!  However, this is not your father's Colombian coffee!  "Juan Valdez is a fictional character who has appeared in adverts for the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia since 1958, representing a Colombian coffee farmer. The adverts were designed by the Doyle Dane Bernbach ad agency, with the goal of distinguishing 100%-Colombian coffee from coffee blended with beans from other countries. He typically appears alongside his mule, Conchita, carrying sacks of harvested coffee beans. He has become an icon for Colombia as well as coffee in general, and Juan Valdez's iconic appearance is frequently mimicked or parodied in television and other media."

We are delighted that our friend, Kim Hunter, has a successful Korean inspired restaurant.  Kimbap is one of our go-to places when we are looking for good food, using local ingredients.  That's why we are proud the she serves Muddy Dog's Kimbap blend of coffee.  Kim does a great job modifying dishes for people with dietary restrictions.  If you happen to be in the area, go to Kimbap, order the dumplings and tell her that Muddy Dog sent you!

Have a great weekend!
