Wednesday Night Races 2018

Need a mid-week break?  From March through September, there is enough light left over in the day for saillors to get off work, head for the docks to launch boats, and get on the water for a sailboat race.  South Coast Sailing Adventures joins the Clear Lake Racing Association to provide sailors and students with a great avenue for sharpening boat- and sail-handling skills. New sailors and racers will benefit from the opportunity to practice identifying points of sail, tacking, making quick right of way decisions and building sailing experience.

Before the race series begins, prepare with some free educational opportunities! Join the CLRA Race Committee for pre-race training seminars on topics including: sail trim, boat & mental preparedness, and tactics.

The races are divided into 5 series composed of 4 races each, with sponsored prizes for each series.  The first series begins March 28.  Sailors are welcome to attend single races, a series, or the entire season.  Pricing for each option is below.  Races begin at 6:15 pm. We will meet at South Coast Sailing Adventures at 5:00 pm to prepare the boat and head to the start line. Races generally end between 7:30-8:00 pm.
