Being a young Muslim Woman has its trials and tribulations. This Hijab Celebration is not only about the physical hijab, but it’s about reminding young Muslim Women that they are intelligent, beautiful, talented, and everything in between.
This year our main focus will be on SELF-EMPOWERMENT!
Potluck:
As always we end our celebration with delicious homemade food that is kindly prepared by our sisters! If you would like to contribute rice, chicken, meat, salads, desserts, drinks, or anything in between, please let us know by commenting below.

walls & ceiling both have been freshly painted
in both men's and women's prayer areas

FREE Qur'an Classes!
Below is the schedule for the
Qur'an memorization class at Masjid Omar. There's is no particular start date for the Qur'an Memorization class. A student may walk in and start his journey of Qur'an memorization right away in shaa Allah.
Tuesdays to Sundays
1. Open for all ages | 4:00pm-5:00pm
2. Elementary School Students | 5:00pm-6:00pm
3. Middle & High School Students | 6:00pm-7:00pm
4. College Students and Older | 7:00pm-8:00pm

Qur'an Halaqa
Sundays after Fajr with Br. Mohammad Toukhy. It is a halaqa with a focus on proper Qur’an recitation through mastering Tajweed rules.
Aishah reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: "
One who is skilled in the Qur'an is associated with the noble, upright recording angels, and he who falters when he recites the Qur'an and finds it difficult for him will have a double reward."

Our team has been working nonstop to bring lifesaving necessities to vulnerable people in Eastern Ghouta. We would like to thank you for your support. However, the work is not done yet. Our current goal is $500,000 which will bring basic needs including food, water, shelter to the victims of war.

About Us
Masjid Omar is the one of the oldest mosques in Columbus, Ohio. It was established in 1984, but the idea of its origin started in 1979 when nine students gathered and agreed on praying in an apartment at 705 at Harley Drive.
