GREETINGS                                           March 8th, 2018

TURNAROUNDS

Lent can be a season of changes: letting some old habits go; taking some new habits on; or just making some shifts in how we go about life and faith. God is at hand to help us, direct us, and correct us. In the book of Jeremiah we read:
"Stand at the crossroads and look, and ask for the ancient paths where the good way lies; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls." (Jeremiah 6:16)   Wonderful counsel that.

And some wonderfully prayerful words for sharing come from Keri Wehlander's Circles of Grace.   Here they are in a slightly adapted form:
"Source of my strength: I sense a season of turning in my life inviting me to make ready. Walk with me, O God.  Up ahead lies an unmapped divided course calling for careful determination. A gate swings open and everything is loose bidding that something be left behind. Walk with me. Until the turbulent waters clear, I reach for your grace and pray for wisdom. Walk with me, O God.

With pilgrim's feet, I trace this fresh journey one step at a time. With an apprentice's regard I seek a clear vision one landscape at a time.  With a dancer's heart, I trust the centre to hold one leap at a time. With a mother's tender arms, you cradle my new spirit one breath at a time. Amen.

Have a soulful hike.
