USHJA Show Jumping Rider Meeting This Weekend at Ocala
Join us to learn about the Show Jumping Athlete Pathway this week at HITS Ocala. USEF Youth Chef d'Equipe and USHJA Show Jumping Technical Advisor DiAnn Langer will provide attendees with an overview of the Show Jumping Athlete Pathway and the many opportunities available to up and coming Jumper riders on Friday, March 23, at 4:30 p.m. in the HITS Ocala Restaurant by the Vendor Courtyard.

USHJA Announces National Championships Coming This Year!
Do you want to represent our zone at the first ever Aon/USHJA National Championships Nov. 13-18 at The Las Vegas National?

The Championships will feature National Hunter Championships for:
  • Amateur Owner Hunters
  • Junior Hunters
  • Pony Hunters
  • Green Hunters
  • Adult Amateur Hunters
  • Children's Hunters

They will include the USEF/USHJA National Jumper Championships with eight sections of competition and the first USHJA Affiliate Championships!

Members interested in qualifying must submit entries for the Championships by Sept. 14. Entries will open when the horse show prize list is released.
The Championships will be held during The Las Vegas National, CSI4*-W at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa's Arena and Equestrian Center.
Zone Team Championship Opportunities for You
Interested in leading teams as a Chef d'Equipe for one of these championships? Apply by March 30.
Congratulations to USHJA Pony Hunter Derby Award Recipients
The USHJA Pony Hunter Derby, presented by Markel, celebrates a successful inaugural year by awarding year-end national and zone awards throughout the country and reaching the $100,000 prize money pay-out mark! Congratulations to the following Zone 4 national award recipients:

Apply for Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Today!
Deadlines to apply for a Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Regional Training Session are coming up. In Zone 4 Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia, is hosting a session June 10-14 featuring clinicians Geoff Teall and Colleen Reed. The deadline to apply for this session is April 16. Zone HOTY Championships Announced
Dates and locations for the Zone HOTY Championships have been announced!

The Zone 4 Horse of the Year Championship North is set for Nov. 14-18 at Atlanta Fall Classic II, and the Zone 4 Horse of the Year Championship South will be Nov. 15-18 at Fox Lea Farm November.

HOTY Championship classes are open to all competitors who meet the minimum eligibility requirements outlined here.
Mark Your Calendar for Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic
Mark your calendar for the USHJA Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic, presented by Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry, a three-round class that combines the precision of equitation and the handiness of hunters.

The East Coast Classic will be July 30 in Saugerties, N.Y. The West Coast Classic will be July 23 in Del Mar, Calif. Riders can choose their preferred location. Qualifying ends May 31. Click here for more information.

Congratulations and good luck to our Zone 4 teams and riders who will be participating in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association National Finals April 20-22 at New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse! Click here for more information, and stay tuned for coverage from the finals!

Zone 4 Pony Challenge and the Horse & Pony Handling Clinic Free to Zone 4 Members June 18
Mark your calendar for the USHJA Zone 4 Pony Challenge and the Horse & Pony Handling Clinic with Oliver Brown June 18 at Georgia International Horse Park.

The one-round challenge, judged by Anne Keenan, is designed to help prepare for USEF Pony Finals. There will also be a Horse & Pony Handling Master Class Clinic with Oliver Brown.
