In 2014, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This did not halt plans, but it did alter...his walking. He is only slightly slower now than when he played baseball (which is why he was a pitcher). He started doing speaking engagements and runs a website devoted to "Pushing Limits for God's Glory" ( warrior613.com ). He is thankful everyday (although there are times he needs to remind himself of this) for this unexpected, but wonderful, journey.

In his current community in Anderson, SC, he serves on the New Member Outreach Team at Concord Baptist Church. He also serves on Anderson Christian School's Board of Directors and serves as the President for the South Carolina Alumni and Advancement Directors Association (SCAAD). He serves as a District Activist Leader for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and still gives baseball lessons to children in the community. In more recent activity, he is an aspiring Adaptive Crossfit athlete. He recently was chosen as one of 10 Seated athletes in the world to compete at Miami's Fitness Festival, Wodapalooza.

Join other young professionals from across the Upstate as we pique your interest in impacting our community and region.

The ten county Upstate including Abbeville, Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg, and Union counties is home to numerous young professionals. The millennial generation (ages 21-39) is quickly surpassing the Baby-Boomer generation and they will soon be our region's leaders.
For this reason, Ten at the Top realized the importance of creating an opportunity for young professionals to connect with other young professionals from across the Upstate, meet Upstate business and community leaders, and provide valuable personal and professional development opportunities. To this end, Ten at the Top began hosting an annual regional young leaders event called the PIQUE with a goal of bringing together existing young professional groups from across the Upstate.

The networking receptions will be hosted by 13 Stripes Brewery with food provided by Cribbs Catering. Each registration includes two drink tickets for those 21 and up. Soft drinks and water will also be available.
For more information, please visit the event website, www.thePIQUE.org. To become a sponsor or a partner young professional group, contact Briana at [email protected].
