Joseph M. Smith 2000 - 2018 

Joseph M. Smith, 18, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born January 7, 2000 in Akron.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, was involved in SEARCH, was a student at Wadsworth High School where he was a former member of the band and cross country team and was employed at Buehlers.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Frank and Helene Smith and maternal grandfather Robert Bacon.

Joe is survived by his parents David Sr. and Laura Smith; siblings: David Smith Jr., Rachel (Jim) Bellinger, Reilly "Ruth" Smith, Kimberly Smith, Therese Smith and Ben Smith;  and his maternal grandmother Shirley Bacon.   Joe is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends 3-7 pm Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Monday, Jan. 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St., Wadsworth with Fr. Patrick Spicer, Celebrant.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
