Commissioner's Recommendation:
That the State Board approve the appointment(s) pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:2.

Acting NJDOE Commissioner
 Dr. Lamont Repollet
In a special January 29 meeting of the New Jersey State Board of Education, Governor Murphy's selection of Dr. Lamont Repollet, Former Superintendent, Asbury Park School District, to serve as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) during his administration, was approved.

NJASA Executive Director Dr. Richard Bozza noted, "NJASA applauds his appointment and looks forward to advancing New Jersey education under his leadership."

Nominee NJDOE Commissioner Dr. Repollet will serve as Acting Commissioner pending a  Senate Judiciary Committee hearing and vote and Senate confirmation.
