Myesha and the Supported Work Program
Myesha came to Tree Trust seeking work. She had part-time experience in retail, but had a passion for childcare and wanted to learn more about the field. Tree Trust secured a paid-internship for her at Sunshine Tree Child Development Center as part of our Supported Work Program, which specifically serves recipients of the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP).

Get a Tree this Spring!
It's that time of year again! In partnership with Minneapolis and St. Louis Park, Tree Trust will be providing subsidized trees to residential property owners of the two municipalities.

Minneapolis property owners can sign up for the lottery beginning February 1. The St. Louis Park tree sale will open March 5.

Don't live in Minneapolis or St. Louis Park? Contact your city officials and let them know you would love an opportunity to increase your city's canopy by implementing a tree distribution in your area. For additional information, please contact Director of Community Forestry  Karen Zumach   or call: 952-767-3886.

Looking Forward in 2018
Five things our staff is looking forward to in the next year:
1.  Watching our participants gain skills and confidence, become leaders, and accomplish their goals this year

2.  Planting trees in new communities (check out our volunteer page to see upcoming plantings!)

3. Securing new funding streams and individual donations that allow us to serve more participants from more places in more ways

4.  Growing Landscape Services's Construction and Tree Care divisions

5. Using our new online database system to increase data tracking and assessment, improve our programs, and streamline our admin
