Confirmation Class 2018
Confirmation refers to the decision a person makes to respond to God's grace with intentional commitment, publicly reaffirming his or her baptismal vows before the congregation, and baptism for those not previously baptized. Most confirmands are youths between the ages of ten and fourteen, who have been nurtured in the church since their baptism as an infant or young child; but not limited to such. During this class, confirmands will learn about the meaning of their Christian faith; the founding, history and teachings of the United Methodist Church; and an explanation of the baptismal and membership vows they will be professing on Confirmation Sunday. Completion of the class will give the confirmand an opportunity to obtain full membership to FUMCPO by confession of faith and commitment to the Church.
The First UMC of Port Orange typically offers the confirmation class on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 4:30-5:45p, consecutively for 8-10 weeks. Students who sign up for the class are invited to a kickoff weekend on March 2-4, 2018 at the Warren Willis Camp in Fruitland park, FL in which students will participate in their first 3 classes. Cost is only $25. Confirmation Sunday is held the first Sunday in May. Speak with the Senior Pastor or Youth Minister for more information or register by clicking the button below.
High schoolers are invited to join us for the amazing Lift Tour weekend. February 16th and 17th, the $55 dollars cost included Ticket, Hotel, and T-Shirt. Sign up today in the Student Center. Students will need money for meals.

Parent Connect Night
Sunday January 28th, is Parent Connect Night. Parent Connect is a once a month meeting (typically held on the last Sunday of the month) in which we invite parents to join us for a potluck dinner and a parent's meeting and we discuss upcoming trips and events.
Topics this month will include; Spring Break, New Dinner Rotations, Summer Events including Camp, Missions, and Beach Conference, and more.
Please bring a dish to share. The theme this month is "Tailgaters" in which parents are challenged to bring a dish that is tailgating food. Childcare is available for children; 5 months to 5th grade. You can do an online sign up for what you're going to bring here.
Register for Summer Camp
It's time to register for the 2018 Summer Camp. Our parents have voted to attend the week of June 18th through the 24th, (AKA Week 2). There is a $75 Online Registration Fee which comes off the cost of your students camp when you register online. They receive graduating 3rd graders through graduating 12th graders. You can also
