Dear St. Isidore Families,
Let the Good Times Roll
On Friday, we celebrate 100 days of school! They say time flies when you’re having fun, but it also flies when you are learning, growing, and moving forward. I am proud of how much we as a school community have accomplished thus far, and I look forward to finishing out the school year strong. Go Bulldogs!
One of the many things I love about Catholic Schools Week is how it brings us together as a community. It is a busy week for all, but it is a good kind of busy! We started the week with Mass on Sunday, and it was truly wonderful to see so many students wearing their school uniforms with pride. The joy trickled over to our annual Sneak-A-Peek. Thank you to all the families and staff who attended. On Monday, we celebrated our amazing parents and students, who are truly the heart of this school—we appreciate all you do. I hope you could attend the showing of the documentary

in the Afternoon. As a mother and an educator, I understand the daily stress students face. Giving them the tools to cope is a priority for myself and my staff. Tuesday’s Free Dress day was a hit, and all donated profits went to Family Aid for Catholic Education (F.A.C.E.). Today, we celebrated our great nation by dressing in red, white, and blue. The seventh and eighth graders are busy competing in our annual science fair. Thank you to all the judges and volunteers.
Please join us Thursday evening for our science fair, which opens at 5:30 p.m. The awards ceremony begins at 5:45 p.m. and our open house at 6 p.m. To make attending easier, Abel Taco Truck and Pizza Guys will be selling food from 5–7 p.m. This is a great opportunity to feed your family while visiting with fellow school families. On Friday, we will end the week by celebrating together at an all-school Mass at 8:10 a.m. Friday is a 12 p.m. dismissal. Kids Konnection will be open.

Our fifth graders had a wonderful time at Colonial Days last week! They spent their morning practicing tin art, quill writing, cross stitch, and other activities from that era. We want to thank the teachers and the many volunteers who came to help. It was a successful day of hands-on learning and fun!
“The Gatsby Gala” is sure to be a night to remember! Don’t miss the most spectacular event of the year!

Congratulations to our new Students of the Month for January/February, Charlie Preston (second grade) and Maggie Bowes (eighth grade).
Students are nominated and voted on by faculty and staff based on the
monthly Gospel Values. January’s value was “Service” and February’s is “Love.” Charlie’s teacher says he always has a smile on his face and he is the first person to offer help in the classroom or on the playground. Maggie’s teacher said she is always considerate and kind to her peers, and she serves in student leadership and on the altar during the weekends. We celebrate you both.
I wanted to remind you to write your child’s name (not their initials) clearly in all sweatshirts and jackets. We have had a lot of lost items recently that were not marked. In addition, please make sure you do not leave any important items in your car when you park to pick up your child or volunteer. If you see anything suspicious, please contact the school office immediately. I appreciate your help in keeping an eye out.
God bless,
Maria Ward, Principal
