OK, it's not exactly what Zach asked me to do - I just wanted to draw attention to a wonderful program each Sunday @ 9:00 am in Reid Hall before church - Sunday Meditation with Zach. It's proven to be a very valuable hour for many - why else did 20 folks participate last week? Just show up! Questions? Zach
Yup, before long it's going to be time for our Third Annual Winter Bocce Night in Highwood. It's a sellout every year! Sign up has not yet begun, but you can put it on your calendar now - it will be held on Saturday, March 10.
Our March 5th Men's Dinner @ Gorton will provide a perfect start for March Madness! Tyler's coming back to the area as part of a mini-book tour, and he's agreed to be the feature speaker @ our Men's Dinner! WOW! The generous and wonderful folks of the Community Church purchased 75 Buffalo bicycles through World Bicycle Relief as part of our "Christmas is for Others" program. And, with the 2:1 match, it means 150 bikes have been donated to - are are changing the lives of -men, women, and students in developing countries. And the people said " AMEN!!!"
By the way, since we started working with World Bicycle Relief as an outreach partner not quite a year ago with our Buffalo Baby and Buffalo Baptism programs, we have helped over 170 people in developing countries receive free bicycles.

"My coming of faith did not
start with a leap but rather a
series of staggers from what
seemed like one safe place to
another. Like lily pads, round
and green, these places
summoned and then help me up while I grew. Each prepared me for the next leaf on which I would land, and in this way I moved across the swamp of doubt and fear ... to the verdant pad of faith on which I somehow stay afloat today.
