The Honored Woman Award
Each year the Oxford Presbyterian Women present the Honored Woman Award to a special woman who has dedicated her time and talent to the work of the church.  The selection is made through nominations from the congregation.  If you have seen or worked beside a woman who has faithfully served the Lord and His church, please send a letter of nomination to Pat Gifford, at [email protected] , drop in my mailbox at church, or send to 6511 Morning Sun Rd., Oxford, 45056.  A new letter of nomination is needed each year, even if a woman has been nominated previously.  We are so grateful for the continued service of our Past Honored Women; however the award is only given once to an individual. Other members of the Honored Woman Committee are Johanna Reinhart and Carol Burkhalter who will also gladly accept letters of nomination.  The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2018.

A Joy to Report
The Christmas Joy Offering has been a cherished Presbyterian tradition since the 1930s.  This year our congregation very generously gave $1329.10 to this offering that distributes gifts equally to the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions and to Presbyterian-related racial ethnic schools and colleges.

The Assistance Program provides critical financial support to church workers and their families.  Presbyterian-related schools and colleges provide education and leadership development  while nurturing racial and ethnic heritage. This has been a commitment of Presbyterians for nearly 140 years.  Thank you so much for your generosity!
A New Year's Greeting from our Sister Church  in Barranquilla, Colombia

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and blessings to you, your ministry and all the Congregation!

Over the season of Advent at our church we had a Christmas Cantata and a Worship of Thanksgiving. Our intent was to give thanks for all the wonderful events and opportunities of the year 2017 and praising God for all the promises of 2018.

In the community of Bethesda we were able to coordinate two beautiful activities. We were able to give gifts to 130 children and clothes and shoes to another 70 children. What a joy!

The school year begins soon.  On the last Saturday of January, we will deliver to the children more than 100 school bags with school supplies such as notebooks, colors, crayons and play-doh. Please pray for us!

We give thanks to God for you and give thanks for all the support that the Oxford Presbyterian community has given to us for the blessing of the community of El Por Fin!!!

Blessings,
Ruling Elder Gina Zabala
