Greater Worcester Community Foundation, along with four other Massachusetts community foundations, has been selected as a partner with the Barr Foundation in its Creative Commonwealth Initiative. The
largest private foundation in Massachusetts, Barr is paving the way for community foundations to deepen and expand support for artists and cultural organizations. A grant of $500,000 over two years has been awarded to GWCF to support Creative Worcester, a granting and leadership effort. Application details will be announced soon.
High school seniors who live in Worcester County and starting college in the fall of 2018 are encouraged to apply. Awards range from $300 to $5,000 and are based on a variety of criteria. Submitting a single application will allow students to be considered for a multitude of scholarships. The online application is open through March 5 at www.greaterworcester.org. Forward this to any qualified students!
