2018 Annual Campaign for the Raven Fund
How The Raven Fund is Used and Why it Matters
The Summit, like other independent schools, must raise funds every year to help meet operating costs, since tuition alone never covers the full cost of an independent school education. Through this support, The Summit is able to:
  • Attract and retain the most talented faculty
  • Provide classroom and learning resources to afford students best-practice learning opportunities
  • Maintain an attractive, welcoming, and safe environment
  • Enhance art, music, physical education, Spanish language, and sports programs
For questions or ways to donate  contact Vince Currao, Summit's Development Officer.

Changes to Missouri's 529 Plans Can Benefit Summit Parents

Did you see KY3's story about the changes in Missouri's MOST 529 Plans? The Summit Prep's Board Treasurer, Mark Sharp with
BKD CPAs & Advisors , was interviewed and commented: "The Summit Preparatory School in Springfield called this a "no-brainer" for their students' parents. Mark Sharp is also Summit's treasurer with the board of trustees. Sharp tried to paint a picture of what tax deductions would look like for the average tuition payer in Missouri where the state tax rate is six-percent. 'Let's say you pay $7,00 0 in tuition, full tuition, you would save at six-percent of that, $420 on your tax bill.'"

Still have questions? Join  former Summit Board Member and Edward Jones - Financial Advisor Michael R. Wiseman  at The Summit Prep on Thursday, February 22 at 9:00 a.m. as he presents to Summit Parents about the impact of the 529 changes. This meeting will take place during the SPO (Summit Parent Organization) Meeting.

Please check with your financial advisor for more information on how this change can affect your family.

Summit Family Business Directory: Available to View Family Businesses

The Summit Parent Organization (SPO) would like to build the relationships within The Summit community by offering families with businesses the opportunity to list their business in the Summit Business Directory. This will allow us to support one another through referrals and patronage.

This information can also be access through The Summit website at  http://www.thesummitprep.org/family/.

Participation is completely optional and free of charge. Additionally, teachers are excited at the prospect of the Business Directory to have as a reference for potential guest speakers in their classrooms &/or field trip opportunities. If you are interested in being listed in the Business Directory, please use this link to submit your information.
