Province Changes Liquor Event Policy
 
The provincial government has amended its policy regarding Special Event Permits (SEP). General Managers may exempt SEP holders from donating profits to a charitable purpose if events are deemed to be of municipal, provincial, national, or international significance. Local governments will be responsible for determining whether a proposed event is municipally significant. Read More
In Memoriam - Ray Brady
 
Former Kitimat councillor and mayor, Ray Brady, passed away on December 31, 2017. Brady's 27 years of municipal service spanned over 40 years; serving first as an alderman in 1973, mayor between 1985 and 1988, and retiring from political life in 2008. Read More
