Praise God!
Pray for the Nations
January: Tanzania
Prayer Requests:
  • Pray for emphatic Biblical teaching in the churches that will, in turn, impact other spheres of society (i.e. poverty, witchcraft, radical Islam).
  • Pray for trained, mature Christian leaders who will be able to evangelize the unreached in a predominantly rural nation
  • Pray for more effective Bible translation teams and initiatives.

Heritage Business Directory
We'd love to promote your business within the Heritage Community! If you own a business or are closely connected to a business that may be of service to other Heritage families in any way, please contact Brenda Wichhart at [email protected] with details. As a Heritage family, we don't always know what everyone does so this is a great opportunity to be able to support one another and their businesses. Please contact Mrs. Wichhart by February 1st to be included in this listing of businesses owned and operated or used and trusted by parents, faculty, and staff.

Summer Camp Opportunities at Heritage
Did the two week Christmas break remind you that you must be proactive in scheduling some things for the kids to keep busy with this summer? Be on the lookout for information on summer camp activities offered at Heritage this year. Different opportunities are being developed right now that include Art, Drama, Coding, and Playing Strategic Games. These camps are being designed for students entering 2nd through 8th grades.  More information will be available before the end of January.

Interest Fair - Friday, March 9
The time for this year's Interest Fair is rolling around.  This is an opportunity for students to showcase their area of interest and share their creativity so we can learn something new about them.  The 2018 Interest Fair is scheduled to take place from 8:45 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018.  This provides plenty of time to plan carefully for a presentation. Students will choose a topic they are currently doing as a hobby/activity.  This could include, but is not limited to, having pets, sports, video games, outdoor activities, dance, music, clubs/scouting groups, crafts, photography, etc.  All topics must be approved by their homeroom teacher by January 26, 2018.
Teacher Surveys
We are interested in your feedback! You should have received links for surveys for each of your child's core classroom and co-curricular teachers. We would like you to take a few minutes to fill them out. We use this feedback from parents as an assessment of how well we are doing and how well we are meeting our parents' expectations. Your input as parents is invaluable.  As many of you know, survey data increases in value as participation increases so we strongly encourage you to support us in this effort.  We would be ecstatic with 100% participation! If you did not receive the links, please contact Brenda Wichhart at [email protected].

On Monday, the Eagles 7/8 Boys basketball team played Pathway Christian School to start the New Year. The Eagles had home court advantage and took the lead early in the game. Our top 3 scorers were Adu Habte with 13 points, Killian Ritland with 9 points, and Sam Young with 7 points. The final score was 43-10. Great job Eagles!

On Tuesday, both Eagles 5/6th basketball teams faced Cedar Valley at home. The Girls started the night with a very close game that came down to the final seconds, when Cedar Valley hit a buzzer beater to end the game 20-22. The Eagles 5/6 boys started out strong, taking the lead early in the game and with some amazing teamwork were able to beat Cedar Valley 46-10. Way to go Eagles!
