ATLANTA TTN PROGRAMS:

Guo Pei:  Couture Beyond Exhibition at SCAD

TTN members attended this wonderful event on January 19, 2018.  What an amazing exhibit.  The designs were phenomenal.

The group enjoyed a  docent-led tour and gained knowledge of the development of the designs and the designer, Guo Pei.

Following the tour, lunch was at Tuk Tuk, a Thai restaurant.

The exhibit will stay until March 4th.  Go see it if you can.

ATLANTA SIGS

We continue to have some great Special Interest Groups (SIGs) activities as part of the Atlanta TTN experience.  If you are interested in a SIG, please let us know so you can be added to the SIGs distribution list to get communications on upcoming meetings.   You can also go to www.groups.google.com and signup for any of the Atlanta TTN SIGs or pose a question to the group.  It's so exciting to see all this new activity with Atlanta TTN.  Share with a friend and let them experience the power of TTN!

Mah Jongg SIG

The Mah Jongg SIG group meets on a regular basis. The great news is we have enough players for two tables.  Every game is an adventure and requires skill and luck to be able to say those wonderful words, "Mah Jongg", which means you won the game.

T he group continues to meet about every 2 weeks, and in the meantime have developed wonderful friendships through shared experiences of family weddings, birth of grandchildren, illnesses, surgeries, worldwide travel, hobbies and other TTN events.

Next game is noon Monday,  February 5th at the home of Rhoda Margolis.  Please RSVP to Elaine Cloward, her information is below.

We welcome new and seasoned players!

If you are interested in learning, we can teach you.   If interested in participating or have questions, please contact Elaine Cloward at [email protected], 770-883-3161.  We have lots of fun in this group.  Please remember to RSVP!

Movie SIG

Judy and Sharon have done an amazing job selecting movies that provide the basis for stimulating discussions and selecting restaurants with private rooms or areas for us to meet. Judy selects the movies and makes the arrangements. Some of the movies the group has seen include Sully, Love and Friendship, Race, Loving, Meagan Leavey, Table 19, and most recently, Lady Bird. During dinner, the group get to know each other and enjoy delicious meals. After dinner, Sharon provides a brief summary of the movie followed by thought provoking questions.  The discussion is often about love, friendship, courage, sacrifice, race, death, and other themes in the movies, feelings are shared and enables a chance to connect with one another on a deeper level. Since the Movie SIG is open to anyone in the Atlanta Chapter of TTN, it provides an opportunity for people from all peer groups to interact while doing something they enjoy.

 For upcoming movies
Judy Golden will send out information on the movie and time to those who RSVP or are in the Movie Group (Google Group). Please reach out to Sharon or Judy if you'd like more information or to RSVP.
