California Child Care Nutrition Research Update and Policy Convening
In late 2017, CFPA, the University of California Nutrition Policy Institute, and the Sarah Samuels Center for Public Health Research & Evaluation convened nutrition and early care partners to discuss strategies to increase access to high-quality nutrition environments in child care.
CFPA's new policy brief provides recommendations for supporting the nutritional needs of low-income children. The policy brief was informed by research conducted by the University of California Nutrition Policy Institute and the Sarah Samuels Center for Public Health Research & Evaluation. Their study examined early implementation of the new CACFP meal pattern.
