Connelly Girls Visit India
school girls India
The Pravaham students were happy to meet our Connelly girls.
The Human Rights Club has been supporting a school in India which caters to marginalized girls who are high school drop outs. They are extremely poor and have no means to get a good education. Four members of the Human Rights Club, along with a Connelly alumna, a few parents, faculty, and friends, traveled to India over Christmas break to visit the school.
The Connelly students and faculty planned some activities that they did with the girls at Pravaham. This included dance, drama, music, book-making, storytelling, and just spending time with them listening to their stories. Joanna Juarez '18 helped interview the girls at Pravaham to create an audio recording of the story of their lives and what it means to them to be able to get an education at Pravaham. It was a very moving experience. In addition to visiting the school, the Connelly group visited sites across the country. To learn more about the school in Pravaham that the Human Rights Club supports, click on the link below. It's a wonderful program.

Tri-School Theatre Spring Musical Auditions
Into the Woods
Auditions for Tri-School's Fall Production "Into the Woods"  will be held Tuesday, January 16, from 3:30-10 p.m. at the Servite Theatre.  (Callbacks are Wednesday, January 17, at 3:30 pm BY INVITATION ONLY)
"Into the Woods" is a modern classic take on everyone's favorite storybook characters and brings them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the spell. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
For more information or to get an audition packet stop by the Tri-School Office at Servite or email Mr. Marrone at [email protected].
