CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Each day is a different celebration. January 29 - February 2


Monday, OUR COMMUNITY  
Love and support of our community continues as we ask everyone to bring in toiletry donations for the homeless and The Redwood Gospel Mission of Santa Rosa. Soap, shampoo, lotion, hair ties and bows, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and razors are all accepted and appreciated.
Donation bins are at the front office.
We also encourage students to complete a few service hours in the community this week.

The first day of our all school photoshoot is also on Monday and Liturgy Dress is required.
Ties are not required.

Tuesday, OUR PARENTS
Parents and grandparents are invited for coffee and donuts in front of the school at 7:45 a.m.
OR to join their student for lunch from 12:45-1:20. If it is raining, Tillman Hall will be open.

Wednesday, OUR FACULTY
Feel free to send in a word of gratitude or a healthy treat to our teachers this week.
Lunch for the faculty will be provided by the Campus Ministry on Wednesday.
Students: Poster up and describe why you like your classes and teachers on the poster boards
provided on the student communication board.
Thursday, OUR STUDENTS
Teachers are invited to write on the poster in the faculty room why they enjoy teaching
or their best moments of their students.
Treats will be provided for students in the quad during lunch. There will be a raffle with every student entered. Two students in each grade will win a Starbucks gift card and
one person will win a pair of Winter Semi-Formal Dance tickets!
Our school photoshoot is also on Thursday and Liturgy Dress is required.
Ties are not required.

Friday, OUR SCHOOL
Celebrate the school with Color Wars dress.
Demonstrate your school spirit and one class will win the Most Spirited Award!
Freshmen: White; Sophomores: Red; Juniors: Blue; and Seniors: Tie Dye or Red, White AND Blue! There will be a movie and snack at lunch in Tillman Hall.
ADDITIONAL LITURGY DRESS DAYS
Monday, Jan. 29 & Thursday, Feb. 1 Photoshoots at SVdP HS
As we update our website and print materials, there will be photoshoots next Monday and Thursday. Students will be required to wear Liturgy Dress. Ties are not required. On Monday, many classrooms will be photographed. On Thursday photography will be taken throughout the school grounds and into the early evening with athletic teams. Some students will be asked to alter their schedule for specific photos to be completed. Thank you for your support.

MEET NEW FRIENDS & COMPLETE SERVICE
As we near the end of January, this is a good time to finish your school service hours early. It's also a great time to help with the two largest events of the year coming in March and April.

FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES Fashionistas Sign Up and Represent!
If you like dancing, fashion, music or helping your friends from backstage, we would love your involvement! This student led event is a hysterical and fun filled weekend. Sign up and represent your class on Saturday, March 3rd at the Petaluma Sheraton! Contracts are due by Feb 1. Contracts are available at the front office and due next week Feb.1. Rehearsals will be Feb.11, 18 and 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

GNARLY MEMORIES? We are looking for 100 YEARS of photographs and memorabilia.
If you have a physical photo to share, take a picture with your phone and email it to us at Gala@svhs-pet.org . 2018-19 TUITION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The  2018-19   SVHS Tuition Scholarships Application  is officially open on our school website. There are scholarship opportunities for the coming school year for all grade levels: incoming freshmen and for current 9th,10th and 11th grade students. 
Go to the Admissions tab and then to Scholarship Office. Deadline is 2/2/18.

2018-19 FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONS
For the 2018-19 school year financial aid awards will be based on a budgeted amount of funds. Complete applications will be reviewed all together after the final due dates and awards granted. It is very important that your application is complete on the due date to be eligible for a financial aid award. 
There may not be additional funds available after the awards are granted.

The SVHS 2018-19 Financial Aid Application is now available through our school website at www.svhs-pet.org. Go to Admissions and then Tuition & Assistance and follow the instructions to apply. The first round of applications is from 11/15/17 through 1/18/18. To be included in this first round of assessments complete applications (including submissions of all required documentation) must be received by FACTS by 1/18/18. To be included in the second round of assessments complete applications (including submissions of all required documentation) must be received by FACTS by 2/16/18. For the 2018-19 school year financial aid awards will be based on a budgeted amount of funds available. Complete applications will be reviewed for each of the rounds during a designated meeting time by the financial aid committee and the results are based on the financial need of the applicant(s). It is very important that your application is complete when it is time for the committee to make the assessments and distribute the available financial aid budgeted funds.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Returning families must re-apply for each year they are requesting financial aid and meet the deadlines listed in order to be considered.
