OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCE

Some of you are aware of Christian Brothers Academy administered by the De La Salle Brothers in Lincroft, New Jersey.  On the grounds of the Academy they also have a Nursing home for their brothers.  I was speaking to Brother John McMahon not too long ago, who is on the staff there. We had a common interest in Reiki and he asked me if any of my past students would be interested in offering Reiki to the brothers who are at the Home.  I said I would share this invitation with you.  It is a good opportunity for those of you looking for experience (and you would be in a friendly and appreciative atmosphere).

So if you feel drawn to find out more about this, set up an interview with Brother John.  He can be reached at

TEACHER TRAINING AT CATSKILL ANIMAL SANCTUARY IN UPSTATE NEW YORK LED BY KATHLEEN PRASAD

Kathleen Prasad, president and co-founder of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA), the world's only Reiki association devoted to rescued animals and their caregivers, brings us Healing Virtues, the first book of its kind based on her Animal Reiki Practitioner Code of Ethics.

Ten years ago, Kathleen Prasad created this Code of Ethics, which has since been used and shared by thousands of Reiki practitioners worldwide. Due to overwhelming demand, Kathleen has now created this must-have, in-depth book as the gold standard for a successful and abundant animal Reiki practice. Following the ethics in this book will give you the foundation you need to create long-lasting, positive relationships with animals and their caregivers, as well as animal professionals and organizations in your community.

Because ethical practice is the most important obligation of an animal Reiki practitioner, this book should be required reading for all Reiki practitioners working with animals.

Review:
Have you ever wanted to sit down with the leading national and international Animal Reiki teacher and have a heart to heart conversation about how to offer Reiki to animals?  Well, this book makes that possible.  It covers all the bases in  easy, understandable, non-technical language, as if Kathleen Prasad was sitting opposite you in a free flowing exchange where she anticipates and answers all your concerns.

Kathleen learned through her own personal experience and incorporated
teachings from the many guides in her life. It was a long., slow, patient process as she came to realize her greatest teachers were the animals she was serving.  So if you want a complete guide to this practice, I have no hesitation in highly recommending this book.  Its is a complete "how to" book, leaving no questions unanswered and a delight to read.

Shinpiden is the Japanese word for 'mystery teachings'. It is aimed at Level II practitioners or established Reiki Teachers who wish to continue their personal journey, a journey that is ongoing long after you complete the Shinpiden course. It is therefore not just about teaching and is even suitable for those who wish to simply develop their personal Reiki practise and occasionally teach those around them.

Self-empowerment is attained in Shinpiden through a strong energetic connection to the source of Reiki. It is also the result of the confidence you will feel as a result of your thorough knowledge of Reiki - how it works, what all the variations on Reiki actually are, where Reiki stands in the world today, the Japanese shirusi (symbols) and jumon (mantras) and their connection to Japanese philosophies and what the origin of Reiki's spiritual nature is.

One of the major focuses of this course is to tap into the sense that you are, and always were, a great, bright light - this is achieved by working with the fourth shirushi and jumon.

A meditative journey into the inner depths of the system of Reiki. Reiki Insights is presented as a series of short chapters, each of them a teaching, so that you can pick it up, choose a chapter and read it. After you have read the chapter, sit down and meditate upon the words. Let them sink deep into your mind, body, and energy, so that you can feel what is in between the sentences. By reading and experiencing Reiki Insights in this way, it will lay a foundation for inner change, from not knowing your true self to knowing your true self.
