Dear STM Families,

Happy Catholic Schools Week!  

We have had a fun time celebrating so far this week.  As we continue on with Catholic Schools week, please see our events planned for the remainder of the week.  Tomorrow we celebrate our parents with a special treat during morning carpool as well as Open House. Please come visit your child's classroom anytime between 9:00am - 2:00pm or from 5:00pm - 6:30pm.  Thursday we will help support our STM Church Community at large as the children are able to wear jeans with their favorite STM shirt when they bring in a canned good to donate to the STM Food Pantry. Friday we will celebrate our Priests, Deacons and Teachers who support and truly cherish your children and the gifts they are in our lives.  Please make plans to stop by our Book Fair in the Library. Details and times are listed in the Library News below. 

Thank you for all who joined us for our Pancakes with Dad fundraiser. We thank you for your support as we worked with a larger than expected turnout as well as space limitations!  We hope all in all you enjoyed that smile on your child's face as they were able to share this special morning with you!  Your children were certainly talking about their fun morning throughout the day!

Reminder as we approach the application deadline date of February 9th, those families that will be applying for financial assistance for the 2018-2019 school year, please see the attached form for important information regarding the steps to apply and deadline dates. These dates  must be followed in order to be considered for aid.

Steps For Students...
On your mark, get set....
Race day is just 3 weeks away.

Last days for early registration!  Register by end of day tomorrow, January 31st before the registration fee increases on February 1st. 

Steps for Students is 5K run/walk and is a fundraising event for our school.  Participating schools keep 100% of the funds they raise.  We have many fun activities planned from now until race day on Saturday, February 17, 2018 . Early registration ends on January 31st.  As of February 1st, registration fee will increase.  Sign up today and join in the fun!

Our wonderful faculty leaders are working hard to offer a variety of ways to support this fundraiser, in addition to joining us on race day! Students can earn raffle tickets by participating in the fun activities planned.   Please see this brochure for details .  

Don't forget to get family and friends to sponsor  you at the walk.  We have many incentives in place for a variety of sponsorship levels. Check out all the fun and exciting details  here.   

This and That...
Before the Christmas Break our student body was blessed by the performance of our 7th grade student as they performed the Nativity of Our Lord play.  We now have DVD's available for those who would like to purchase. Please see the attached flyer for details.

Softball is coming back to STM!  The Developmental Girls Team fun is open to girls in grades 4th - 8th. Please let us know your child's interest by filling out and returning the attached   form .

Last call for yearbook ads. All ads must be in by January 31st in order to meet the yearbook deadline.

Please join us for our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, February 6th at 6:15pm in Donovan's Den.

Avoid the crowds on Valentines Night and celebrate early!  Girl Scout Troop 21126 is offering Parents Night Out babysitting on Friday, February 9th so you and your loved one can spend some time together.  Please see attached flyer for details.

Our PAWS Volunteers Had a Busy Week across our Campus!


A BIG thank you to the PreK3, PreK4, Kinder and 1st grade PAWS parents for their absolutely AMAZING Faculty Appreciation Feast! Faculty and staff got in the mood for Rodeo with homemade BBQ, corn and all the fixins, as well as a fun photo booth and a souvenir Mason Jar mug! Check out the photos on the STM Facebook page and below.
Our volunteers didn't stop there, the next day PAWS Volunteers coordinated the Hospitality Booth and the lunch for over 150 participants in the 2018 Archdiocesan Science Fair hosted by STM and held in Servant Hall. These volunteers served over 200 Chick-fil-a lunches, answered questions with grace and a smile and kept everything on schedule and organized. Our Office has gotten such positive feedback from participants about their Science Fair experience!!

You also saw PAWS volunteers at work this week supporting our school at the STM Book Fair and the PTO Used Uniform Sale. A special shout-out to Mrs. Suzanne Abdulahad who went above and beyond to support her fellow STM families by washing and mending donated uniforms to give them a "second life" at the uniform sale.

Have you put you PAWS on yet this year? Come and enjoy working with fellow STM parents and supporting your students! There is still much to come this year including Steps4Students, Mardi Gras, the Annual Gala and Field Day to name a few. Check your email for sign up announcements and opportunities.
