Please Pray for

Our Dominicans

St. Dominic,
Pray for Us
If you have a prayer request, please email [email protected].

If we want to find Jesus, we have to overcome our fear of taking risks, our self-satisfaction and our indolent refusal to ask anything more of life. We need to take risks simply to meet a Child... in finding that Child, in discovering his tenderness and love, we rediscover ourselves. Pope Francis Feast of the Epiphany, 2018

January 11, 2018

Dear School Families,

Welcome back!    I pray that the time with your family and loved ones was peaceful and joyous.  As we begin the 2018 year together, we have so much to look forward to.

This week our students participated in the Epiphany celebration, walked through time in California and the Revolution, submitted Science Fair projects and are preparing for their first reconciliation.    Our PTG Board are planning family events to promote community and our School Board is actively working on the Strategic Plan.  Tomorrow our faculty will be attending a Diocesan Staff Day on "Growth Mindset", "Social Emotional Needs in the Classroom", and "Teaching for Mastery - Understanding the Science Behind Personalized Learning".    Our school community is amazing.

I am amazed and I pray that you, too, are amazed at what is happening at your school.

Make sure you take time to look at EVERYTHING, and it's a lot of things, in this e-newsletter.   There is so much happening at HRS - you don't want to miss a thing!

I wish for you to " be joyful in hope, persistent in prayer".

Cheers to a beautiful new year.

In Partnership,

Mrs. Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal
