NASW Against Censorship

NASW says Trump administration should refrain from telling agencies not to use certain words. NASW is alarmed that the Trump administration is banning agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control from using certain terms, including "entitlement," "diversity" and "transgender."

New ICD-10 Code Changes

Each year the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), releases new updated, or deleted codes for the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Edition, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM).  The updates to the mental and behavioral section of the ICD-10-CM began October 1, 2017 and are listed in the order that they appear in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5).

Clinical social workers should use the new codes to avoid reimbursement denials.
