Worship with Us this Weekend!
Join us this Sunday for 9:30am Traditional Worship and/or 11:00am Informal Worship.
Our scriptures are 1Samuel 3:1-10 (the call of Samuel) and John1:43-51 (the call of some of the disciples) with a sermon entitled Can You Hear Me Now?
It's three weeks after Christmas - what is the work of Christmas. Jesus says "Follow me." Hear the call to get up and go! How do we listen to the call from the Holy and from one another? How do we encourage one another to answer their call?

Give-A-Meal Sunday again this week to catch up from holidays...   Please bring gifts of non-perishable food items for those in St Louis who are hungry. Thank you for your generosity! Isaiah 58 Ministries (http://www.i58ministries.org/), our partner in providing nurture to our neighbors, has a list of suggested items per month - though any/all donations are very much appreciated. January includes peanut butter & jelly, canned pears, spaghetti-o's, canned carrots, pancake mix and toilet paper.

MONTH OF GRACE + PRAYER
A Retreat in Everyday Life
KICKOFF THIS SUNDAY!
Sunday, January 14 | 2:00 - 3:30pm Kickoff | Gathering Space
Whose Heart-Clarence Heller
Whose heart breaks for Judas, the first apostle to enter heaven?
Who mourns with his widow and her children,
and puts flowers on his grave?
He was human, like us. He was loved and did love, like us.
Whose heart breaks for Judas? With the heart of Christ, mine.

Please consider participating in the Month of Grace + Prayer as one way to welcome God to soften your heart. Throughout the month each participant will be invited to pray privately each day and then meet confidentially with an experienced spiritual companion for one hour each week. Meetings with prayer guides take place on Monday mornings, afternoons or evenings, at the convenience of each participant. Committed couples also have the option to participate as a couple. Brochures and registration forms are available on the round table in the Gathering Space, and for even more information, visit www.momentsofgraceandprayer.org or PUCCer Sue Stolze (314-209-6057; [email protected]).

Inspiration
If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward. - MLK Jr

Humor
No joke today as we head into Martin Luther King, Jr's Birthday Weekend. If you hear any racist or any other kind of demeaning joke, please stop the person. It's not a joke. My mother always said, "Don't make fun of someone for something they cannot change. That is never funny."
