Dear Mercy Family,

We thank you for choosing Mercy High School and we are grateful to each of you for valuing the educational opportunities and programs that our school offers.

The Finance Committee and Board of Trustees have once again carefully analyzed the financials to establish a realistic budget and set tuition for the 2018-2019 school year. We have worked extremely  hard to keep costs in line. All areas of the school's operation have been scrutinized and rigorous efforts have been implemented to cut spending. Even so, we find it necessary to raise tuition $480 which sets the 2018-2019 school year tuition at $13,255. There is a registration fee of $100 along with an activity fee of $250. The graduation fee will be $300.

Please remember that while the tuition for the 2018-2019 school year is $13,255 the difference between the actual cost per student and the tuition is approximately $2,500. It should be noted that we receive no funding from the state or the archdiocese and we must depend on families to assist in making up this difference. We depend on our benefactors to continue to make a Mercy education possible for young women.

All parents can help by participating in fundraising, volunteering and being Mercy ambassadors. In turn, the staff and administration will continue to work diligently to keep costs down without compromising the excellence of a Mercy education. We realize that all families sacrifice financially to send their daughters here and we are assured by parents many times over that it is the best investment for their daughter's future.

This year we have set the tuition rate early to enable you to complete the registration process by April 19, allowing us to plan staffing for the 2018-2019 school year. It is of extreme importance that your daughter(s) be registered according to the time frame provided so that we can plan the best possible programs and students can have the choice of electives. Please note that Enrollment Agreements for current students will be mailed in March.

May the blessings of the Lord be upon you and your family. You are always in our prayers.

In Mercy,

Dr. Cheryl Delaney Kreger '66, President
