Registration is Open for Spring Sports Leagues
 
Spring sports are back! Registration is now open for a variety of youth sports leagues including t-ball, baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and lacrosse. TWO new sports are being offered this season - fencing and wrestling! Keep Your Kids Busy Over Spring Break

Do you have a cook or baker on your hands? We have two cooking camps offered March 28 - 30, 9 a.m. - noon. Children ages 6 - 10 will be cooking at Moorhead Recreation Center (registration #252040) and teens 11 - 16 years will meet at Expo Recreation Center (#252082). Campers in both groups will master cooking techniques and learn how to prepare home cooked meals.

Does your child love being in the great outdoors and want to learn about wildlife? If they're 8 - 12 years old, sign them up for the Expo Explorers Spring Break Camp (#251899) to be held March 26 - 30, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Expo Recreation Center. Register online or by calling 303.326.8650.
 
Do You BBQ? Competition Entry Now Open!

Is your barbecue the best on the block? Compete against the country's most talented barbecue teams on June 9 during Aurora's Buskers, Brews & BBQ event. The contest is open to new and experienced competitors, is sanctioned by the  Kansas City Barbecue Society and serves as a state championship event. Cash prizes! Spaces will fill quickly so register early!

 
Volunteer Steward Recruitment Event

Curious about Aurora's Volunteer Steward programs? Attend an informational meeting on Saturday, Feb. 24, 10 - 11 a.m. at the Morrison Nature Center and learn about opportunities to connect with nature while helping improve the quality of life in Aurora. Volunteer Stewards provide essential support for open space areas, parks and our urban forest through trail patrols, special projects, event staffing and educational programs. No experience is required; city staff provides training, supplies and ongoing support. Registration is encouraged and can be done online or by calling 303.326.8650.
