For example, a performance tune, normally $160 is $80 and a standard tune, normally $90 is $45 for FS2018 riders.

*Freezing Saddles is a winter riding competition for bike riders in the general DC area, organized by random people who talk to each other on the Washington Area/ Bike Arlington Bike Forum. It runs from January 1 to the last day of winter with the idea of encouraging folks to ride all winter, even on the coldest days! Sign ups ended in December, so if you haven't signed up, you're out of luck for this year.

This Week:
Thursday 1/10 --
7-9pm - Pot Luck Supper
Join us for a shared Supper every Thursday from 7-9 pm. The shop is open late for all your bicycle needs. We will provide a main - You bring yourself, a friend, a holiday themed side, dessert or a beverage.

Friday 1/11 --  7:45-9am - College Park Coffee Club at the Board and Brew
Join our weekly social gathering for breakfast/coffee. Ample bike (and car) parking. After breakfast we'll go for a bike ride, weather and time permitting.

Saturday Social Ride, 1/12  --  10am - 12pm
New for 2018 - Saturday Social Rides will take the place of our pastry and coffee rides (note - no Sunday coffee ride). Every week we'll do something a little bit different. We're keeping an eye on the weather this week - it's supposed to be warm, but rain possible as a cold front comes through. Likely destination is Vigilante or Shortcake Bakery. Bring lock, cash/cc, helmet.

Sunday, 1/13 - 9 - 11:30am Not a Mountain Bike Ride
Another new ride for 2018 are Sunday morning mountain bike rides at Fairland Regional Park, led by Laura our service manager (and former mountain and cx racer). BUT - with the freeze and thaw and rain thing expected, we're planning on taking a longer social ride to Union Market for breakfast/coffee. Bring lock, cash/cc, helmet! It will be cold so layer up! Next week we hope to return to our regularly scheduled MTB ride...

We're always looking for volunteers to lead rides. Contact laurie@proteusbicycles.com if you can help out!
